This is an update on the status of Lexis and Westlaw generative AI products:
Lexis+ AI
As of January 16, 2024, Lexis+ AI has been turned on for all Yale Law School academic accounts.
Westlaw AI-Assisted Research
Westlaw has not proposed a definite release date for its generative AI product, Westlaw AI Assisted Research, to academic accounts. Ask Practical Law AI, an enhancement described as a more conversational approach to searching Practical Law, has been available since late January.
Other Thomson Reuters generative AI products are not on the horizon for law schools at this time.
