Library Tip: Collaborative Work Spaces at YLS

Group and individual study spaces are available to Yale Law School students at the Sterling Law Building and at 40 Ashmun Street. For more information, please refer to the table below. Additional study spaces are available to all students at various libraries across campus, including Sterling Memorial Library and Bass Library just across the street from the law school. Lower East Side of the Law Library (LES) Group Regular library hours Voluntary sign-up with Library Administration, L3. Not available for student organization meetings – only for informal, group study.
SLB classrooms, 120, 121, 122, 124, 127, 128 Group Monday through Sunday, until 12:00AM or until janitor cleans the room

At least 24 hours in advance, either reserve online or in-person at the Building Services Office.

When the Building Services Office is closed, go to the Guard Desk at the Wall Street entrance for a list of available rooms.

 

Seminar rooms: 108-113 Group

SLB 129 Group - until midnight; availability for individual use from 12:00AM until 6:00AM Availability for study, Monday through Sunday, from 12:00AM until 6:00AM None required
Ashmun Street: four seminar rooms (A005, A420, A422, A424) and two conference rooms (A421 and A423) Group Monday through Friday, until 12:00AM

Dining Hall Group Open until 8:00PM None required

L2 Computer Classroom Quiet During library hours It’s available when not being used for instruction. Currently there is no process for making reservations.
