From October 2014 until February 2015, the library is hosting an exhibit of Yale Law School student’s authorship, Born This Way. In conjunction with this exhibit, we are delighted to announce a short story competition open to all Yale Law School students.

Authors are invited to submit works of original, previously unpublished fiction of any length up to 7,500 words as an email attachment to julian.aiken@yale.edu. (There is no minimum length for entries. They can be as short as this, if you like: https://www.theguardian.com/books/series/twitter-fiction.)

The judging panel will consist of Matthew Pearl (author and Yale Law School alumnus), Jed Rubenfeld, Kate Stith, Teresa Miguel-Stearns, and Julian Aiken.

The winning entry will receive a gift card of their choice to the value of $500, and will be considered for publication in the Yale Law Report magazine.

Deadline for submissions: Midnight, Saturday February 28, 2015

Please address any questions to julian.aiken@yale.edu.
