William Blackstone, the best bad poet? Draw your own conclusions at this month's Rare Book Room open house, featuring his poetry in manuscript and print, including a recently acquired manuscript poem written by Blackstone at age 12. Blackstone's poetry and other literary interests will be on display alongside his Commentaries, highlighting the connections between his thoughts on English literature and his work as a legal historian.
