U.S. Justice Department releases "torture" memo

The U.S. Justice Department on Tuesday released a declassified 2003 memo justifying the use of harsh interrogation methods for suspected terrorists held abroad.  A copy of the memo will be available for viewing at the Law Library reference desk.   In a quote to the New York Times, Eugene R. Fidell, who teaches military justice at Yale Law School and the Washington College of Law at American University, describes the memo as a ?a road map for the Pentagon for fending off any prosecutions.?
