Fred Shapiro

Fred Shapiro coordinates the Law Library's collection development and special collections functions, and welcomes suggestions for additions to our collection. He is knowledgeable about legal bibliography and the history of Yale Law School. As a scholar and editor, he has compiled the New Yale Book of Quotations, the Oxford Dictionary of American Legal Quotations, and numerous other publications. He is the leading contributor to the Oxford English Dictionary and provides the historical information to Black's Law Dictionary.
