Wednesday, January 24, 2018
On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, from 12:00 – 1:30, Faculty Lounge, the Lillian Goldman Law Library and the Law Teaching Series at Yale Law School are co-sponsoring an event for law students on how to successfully navigate the article submission and publication process. Please join us for a non-pizza lunch and panel discussion intended to provide practical tips to consider when submitting your article to academic journals. Our panel includes:
• Rebecca Crootof, YLS JD ’11, PhD ‘16, Executive Director of the Information Society Project, Lecturer in Law, and Research Scholar, Yale Law School, who will speak from an author’s perspective about strategically submitting a law review article for publication, taking into consideration factors such as submission timing, journal selection, and managing offers;
• Matteo Godi, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Law & Policy Review, who will speak about the factors YLPR considers when selecting articles from student submissions; and
• Fred Shapiro, Associate Librarian for Collections and Access Services, Yale Law Library, who will offer insight on journal rankings and how to use ExpressO to submit your work.
