World Bank Law Libraries

Teresa Miguel-Stearns

The Doing Business Law Library is the largest free online collection of business laws and regulations. Created by The Worldbank, the database links to official government sources wherever possible. Translations are not official unless indicated otherwise. The collection is updated regularly but cannot guarantee that laws are the most recent version.

The Doing Business Gender Law Library is a collection of national legal provisions impacting women's economic status in 183 economies. The database facilitates comparative analysis of legislation, serves as a resource for research, and contributes to reforms that can enhance women’s full economic participation. The laws are not always the most recent version, nor is the library exhaustive, and the translations are not official unless indicated.
