How do I?

Library Tip: Quicksearch -- Search across MORRIS and Orbis

Dear Students:

Are you doing research that goes beyond traditional law topics: social science, business, economics, health care? Did you know that you can now search both MORRIS (the Law Library catalog) and Orbis (the Yale University Library catalog) in one place? This new site also offers a broad search of articles and other licensed online content from across the University. It’s called Quicksearch and it’s now in beta testing at http://search.library.yale.edu

You can search across 10 million titles from both Yale library catalogs (books, DVDs, archival collections, journal titles) and 1 billion individual journal and newspaper articles. Quicksearch is a great tool if you’re getting started in a new area, want to cast a wide net, or if you are working on a “law and” paper. You can also limit to just law library materials in the catalog portion by using the left-column location limits.

Find out more about the project here http://libraryunifiedsearch.commons.yale.edu and leave feedback using the link at the top right corner of the site.

Thank you,
